"We
aim to promote our children’s European awareness regarding local history, customs,
way of life, and environment. The starting point should be the children’s own
field of experience. How do they view life in their community, in their region
as a whole? What do they know about local history, which customs and traditions
still play a role, how their ancestors lived? What developments have led to
the style of life our young people grow up in today? How are immigration children
integrated in all aspects of the daily life?
What about our community and its surroundings?
How has civilisation left its mark on nature? Which natural resources still
remain and what can be done to preserve them?
Which parallels and differences can be established
between the results of our research and those made by the children at our
partner schools? This extensive range of topics is designed to accommodate
and encourage a wide and diverse spectrum of activities."
